AMIRES at MEDICA 2026

November 17

Five projects. Different challenges. One shared ambition: healthcare innovation.

At MEDICA, we will be showcasing a selection of European projects in which AMIRES contributes to project management, innovation, communication, dissemination, exploitation and consortium development.

NetZeroAICT

AI-powered approaches for more sustainable medical imaging

NetZeroAICT is exploring how artificial intelligence can enable “Digital Contrast” for CT imaging, reducing the need for traditional iodinated contrast media.

The project aims to develop and validate AI-based approaches across five clinical applications while contributing to a more sustainable future for medical imaging.

NAP4DIVE

Rethinking nanoparticle delivery across the blood-brain barrier

NAP4DIVE is developing advanced non-animal approaches for testing and predicting nanoparticle-based drug delivery across the human blood-brain barrier.

The project combines a BBB-on-Chip platform, machine learning and a nanoparticle design library to support the development of new approaches for CNS drug development.

NEOLIVER

Advancing bioprinted liver tissue for regenerative medicine

NEOLIVER is developing large, functional and vascularised bioprinted liver constructs, with the long-term ambition of creating new transplantation options for patients with end-stage liver disease.

The project brings together bioprinting, organoids, vascularisation and GMP-compliant manufacturing approaches.

UltraSense

Next-generation wearable health monitoring

UltraSense is developing a stretchable multi-sensing wearable platform combining ultrasound, bioimpedance and graphene-based biosensing technologies.

The platform aims to support body composition analysis and decentralised health monitoring, with applications including healthy lifestyles and metabolic syndrome.

eCAP

Smart technologies for gastrointestinal diagnostics

eCAP is developing a smart implantable capsule and e-health platform combining sensing, connectivity and AI-supported analysis for gastrointestinal diagnostics and therapy.

The project aims to connect advanced implantable technology with digital healthcare to support more accessible and personalised care.

Meet the people behind the projects

MEDICA is more than an opportunity to showcase technologies. For us, it is an opportunity to meet people, exchange ideas and explore what we can build together.

Are you:

  • Developing a new healthcare R&D idea?
  • Looking for partners for a European project?
  • Building a Horizon Europe consortium?
  • A project coordinator looking for additional support?
  • A MedTech company exploring European funding opportunities?
  • A startup looking for research and innovation partners?
  • Looking for support with project management, innovation or exploitation?

Come and talk to us.

We can discuss your idea, your challenge, your project, or simply start a conversation about where there may be opportunities to collaborate.

See NetZeroAICT in action

One of the highlights of our MEDICA programme will be NetZeroAICT.

On Tuesday, 17 November, members of the NetZeroAICT project team will be at the AMIRES booth to meet visitors and present a live demonstration of the project.

📅 Tuesday, 17 November 2026, afternoon
📍 Hall 17 / A11

Come and discover how AI could contribute to a more sustainable future for medical imaging.
