AMIRES at the eCAP London Consortium Meeting!
October 15Last week, the eCAP consortium met in London for one of its pivotal in-person sessions, complementing the regular virtual meetings.
In-person meetings remain meaningful for collaboration, especially in complex, international consortium projects like eCAP, while virtual calls keep the engine running.
The recent consortium meeting in London was an example of this synergy, bringing together technical minds, clinical experts, and commercialization strategists to align on the next chapter of eCAP’s journey.
London 2025: A Strategic Gathering
Hosted in October 2025, the London meeting served as a strategic checkpoint for the eCAP consortium. The agenda was full: partners reviewed the latest reporting cycle, discussed feedback from the European Commission, and refined the roadmap toward market entry and long-term impact. AMIRES played a key role in orchestrating the logistics and guiding the communication and dissemination strategy.
The meeting showcased impressive developments across all work packages:
- Clinical Readiness: IHU Strasbourg presented the clinical trial blueprint, with first trials planned for 2026 in France. The roadmap sets the stage for validating eCAP’s clinical efficacy.
- Engineering Innovation: Tyndall National Institute, Sentron, and RDS revealed technical advances in the capsule, delivery system, and mobile App, critical steps toward robust pre-clinical testing.
- Commercial Strategy: EnteraSense and Betthera led sessions on market analysis, IP protection, and sustainability planning, ensuring eCAP’s innovation is matching with its commercial viability.
- Global Outreach: Olymed and OTPAK updates on dissemination efforts in Ukraine and Kenya were shown. These activities pave the way for upcoming clinical trials in the countries.
AMIRES: Driving Visibility and Engagement
As the project’s dissemination and coordination lead, AMIRES presented upcoming outreach activities, including preparations for MEDICA 2025 where eCAP will participate. The project will be showcased to a global audience of healthcare innovators and stakeholders.
Faces Behind the Innovation
The meeting brought together a vibrant mix of in-person and remote participants. The energy in the room reflected the consortium’s shared commitment to transforming gastrointestinal diagnostics through smart capsule technology.
Looking Ahead
With clinical trials on the horizon and commercialization strategies taking shape, the eCAP project is entering a pivotal phase. AMIRES supports the consortium’s progress by delivering innovation.
