What is SPIE Photonics West?

SPIE (the international society for optics and photonics) hosts this annual “optics-fest” at the Moscone Convention Center. It is widely considered the most influential event in the industry, bringing together over 1,200 companies and thousands of researchers.

Marika is at the heart of our photonics portfolio. With extensive experience in overseeing H2020 and Horizon Europe projects like InPulse and INSPIRE, she specializes in Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) and up-scaling technologies. If you are looking to take your deep tech project to the next level, Marika is the person to talk to.

Marco Messina – Programme Manager for Quantum Technologies

Marco joined AMIRES in April 2023 and now leads our Quantum Programme team. He manages the MatEl project (PZT and Graphene materials for advanced opto-electronic applications in AR and biosensing) and drives Horizon Europe proposal preparation.
