Pioneering digital transformation in healthcare

AMIRES is pleased to invite you to attend the PIONEERING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN HEALTHCARE Workshop which will take place on 6 February 2024 at Vienna House, in Prague, Czech Republic.

Open registrations have closed, if you are interested to attend please contact health@amires.eu!

The final agenda attached below!

Join us to:

  • Form new partnerships to address complex and multidisciplinary issues in digital health.
  •  Discuss common challenges and proven solutions/best practices of collaborative innovation projects.
  •  Explore the potential application areas and upcoming priorities in discussion with clinical end users.

The workshop is organized in the framework of the PANCAIM EU-funded project and aims to bring together leading experts from different companies and organisations addressing the topics of digital health. Structured around a keynote, roundtable and presentations by top EU researchers and digital health pioneers, the workshop will facilitate the exchange of views on future technology solutions, products, and applications in digital health, together with relevant information about funding research in the field. We will map the application needs and establish new contacts for fostering collaborations.

The European Union (EU) is in the middle of transformative efforts to digitalise healthcare systems across the continent, with initiatives focused on everything from electronic health record (EHR) interoperability, creation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) expected in 2025 or to more comprehensive digital tools and services for patients. To help support these ambitious projects, the EU has allocated €20 billion to its seven-year budget available through Horizon Europe and EU4Health programme calls.

Complementary to the EU-wide efforts, member states implement programmes to modernise the basic functionalities necessary for the proper functioning of a fair, ethical and sovereign health system. The use of digital systems is key to drive innovation, optimise operations, enable data-driven decision-making and enhance sustainability. Digitalisation, as a key enabler, will also play a pivotal role in facilitating the transformation needed to achieve net zero emissions.

Despite high support for R&D, a strategic approach is needed to integrate innovative technologies in national and institutional environments. The aim of the event is to demonstrate the latest advancements in European research to support the digital transformation quest, present digitization needs, trends and breakthrough technologies, and connect top-research performers with the Czech digitization ecosystem.  Success of health digitization at EU, national and institutional levels will be highlighted.

We invite researchers, clinicians, health technology developers and interested other stakeholders to join us in this important discussion on the future of healthcare. Registration is now available here, attendance is free of charge. For further inquiries, please contact health@amires.eu. We hope to see you at the event!

PANCAIM is a Horizon 2020-funded European consortium to improve pancreatic cancer treatment. PANCAIM optimizes and integrates genomics and imaging phenomics using artificial intelligence (AI). Firstly, to help generate breakthrough knowledge to increase understanding of pancreas cancer biology.  Secondly, to develop trusted, impactful AI applications for regular clinical use. The aim is to help clinical decision-makers to give the right treatment to the right patients at the right time. The aimed effect is to improve treatment outcomes of pancreas cancer patients avoiding the current costly trial-and-error use of expensive drugs with strong side-effects.

PANCAIM builds on four key concepts of AI in Healthcare: clinical expertise and high amounts of carefully documented data, AI experts, and MedTech companies to collect the data and bring AI to healthcare.
