On Thursday, 16 March, the fifth from the series of webinars organized by AMIRES and the ETPN Regenerative Medicine Working Group (RegMed WG) took place.  A presentation titled “Application of stable FGF2 in wound healing” was delivered by Dr. Zdenek Rucka, former researcher in the field of molecular biology now working as sales and marketing manager at Enantis, s.r.o. Enantis is a growing biotechnology company located in Brno, Czech Republic, specializing on protein engineering and enzyme technologies.

Webinar summary:

Brief introduction of Enantis and its R&D activities was followed by information about current and future use of growth factors (mainly FGFs) in regenerative medicine. Stable FGF2 developed by protein engineers at Enantis was introduced and its possible use in wound healing was further discussed. The opportunities for collaboration with other partners were presented.

The ETPN RegMed WG webinars are open to both ETPN members and non-members.  By presenting recent advancement of ETPN members in the Regenerative Medicine field, these webinars aim to improve know how exchange, identification of key European experts and a wider networking between ETPN members (e.g. for collaborative projects). It is also intended to keep webinars open for ETPN non-members, particularly for industrial companies, to facilitate cooperation between researchers and enterprises (mainly SMEs).
